The Ortho MAX Fire Ant Killer Broadcast Granules is proven to powerfully kill mounds in just 15 minutes plus, it provides long-lasting protection for up to 6 months. Prevents new mounds from forming and immediately kills fly-in queens. It is advisable to use this insecticide on the entire residential lawn area for proper fire ant control. Convenient to use by simply applying the granules on the lawn uniformly and water right after. It is highly suggested to apply the product in the morning or during the late evening when ants are most active because of the cool temperature.
