I love these. They’re great for cleaning up the little bits of matter after a water change and substrate vacuum. They make my water crystal clear. But the Aquaclear pumps that they work with do not have an adjustable flow rate as advertised. The flow will basically be at the top limit of the pump. So don’t buy the pump based on the adjustability of flow. If you think the flow rate at top speed will be too strong for your fish go a size down. Customer service is great, they sent me another pump but the flow control didn’t work any better on that one. I reuse the filters. I use them for about an hour after a water change, rinse them out well, let them dry and reuse them for a few weeks this way. But your mileage may vary depending upon how much excess material you have in your water column. Despite the fact that the flow control on the pumps isn’t great, I would like to purchase a smaller pump so I can keep using the quick filters as they do such a good job of clearing the water.
