I originally wasted time on a cheaper chiller that was designed for aquariums but was marketed for ice baths as well. It ran constantly and could not maintain the temperature I wanted. I then laid down the money for this unit and I was extremely impressed. It is worth every penny.ShippingIt was well packaged in two boxes. The outer box had reinforcements on the corners and the inner box had reinforcements on all the edges with foam packing material. I am sure it could have been shipped through a warzone by DHL with my crazy ex driving and would have arrived unscathed.Item QualityThis thing is solidly built and works amazingly. The quality of the kit is much better than a few of my buddies have received who have bought similar units with other companies for much more. Once down to 45 degrees Fahrenheit (my ideal temp), it barely has to run to maintain the temperature. It has robust configuration options for various situations. It is also built for outdoor use.Service and SupportThe support I have received has been amazing. I would say it is the best support I have received from an Amazon seller in over a decade. Response time is normally much less than 24 hours. I have even received replies on weekends. Even though I broke a part by my own ham handedness, they shipped me another one at no cost. I misunderstood something in the manual, and they sent me a video showing me exactly how to configure the unit. FYI, pay attention to whether there is a decimal point when looking at some of the settings. Big “doh” moment for this noodle head.Technical detailsThis unit is built to work with the Chilly Willy tub but can work with a variety of other tubs and has a lot of extra parts to make it work with different applications. I could have made it work with the provided parts. Because I am particular, I purchased a couple fittings to make the installation as close to the manual as possible. My tub has 3/4 NPT female connections. The kit’s fittings are 1/2 BSP G thread male.
