Arrow Environmental - Industrial

Are a major supplier of environmental services, encompassing large scale clean downs to the removal and disposal of waste oils and fluids. This is supported by a fleet of twenty tankers and a custom built disposal facility. Clients include major automotive manufacturers and Local Government establishments. Arrow have utilised Chemex and their products for over five years.

Site Manager Dave Aldridge commented “ Through Chemex we source quality products for a wide range of of tasks and duties. Simmons & Sons - Food Production

Pork scratchings are synomonous with the Black Country and Simmons & Sons have used a family recipe for over thirty years to produce a tasty range of Pork based snacks. Hygiene is of paramount importance as the Walsall based factory provides storage of raw ingredients, a deep fry cooking system and the weighing and packing of the cooked products. Chemex Black Country supply bactericidal based products that cater for sanitisation, heavy duty degreasing and hand based hygiene. All of these are dosed and dispensed in a controlled manner via fitted Chemex dispensing equipment.

Simmons supply to wholesalers, the MOD and leading supermarkets such as Asda. Sean Simmons mentioned “ Due to the product we supply we have to satisfy EFISES, the BRC, the HSE and independent consultants working on behalf of customers, about our quality and hygiene systems. Mr Sizzle -Catering

The Mr Sizzle catering kiosk is a familiar site at High Streets and major events throughout the Black Country. A fleet of twenty five units are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis. The units are towed to their location and acts as the cooking facility and point of sale. So cleaning is in high demand as it attracts the normal debris you would associate with road usage combined with the cooking of fast food. The appearance of the kiosk acts as a major advertisement for the business, and as an indicator of the quality of the food.

Each operator is responsible for the hygiene of their own kiosks, thus creating a high amount of users of the cleaning chemicals on a frequent basis. Owners Mark and Samantha needed a cost effective and simple to use range of cleaning chemicals. Mark explained “ We tried a number of different chemical suppliers but nothing could match the Chemex products for quality and economy. Once we knew that the economies and safe dilution could be facilitated via Chemex dispensing equipment, we didn’t hesitate in establishing an agreement for the supply. We find the regular site visits very useful as additional training can take place and our control systems checked.

Stokes Forgings - Automotive

Are a major manufacturer of automotive components to clients such as Land Rover, Mercedez Benz and V.A.G. Two large foundry sites are located in Walsall and Dudley, and house heavy plant operating in hot and demanding conditions. The result of this being, a high amount of carbon and heavy oil debris. Timely and quality output underpins profitability and the meeting of customer production schedules. Therefore Stokes Forgings cannot afford for a large production press not to be working or producing poor castings. So effective and daily cleaning of the plant is required to keep the machinery operating safely at it’s optimum level.

Suki’s & The Vine - Restaurants

Both establishments are well known locally for their quality and range of freshly cooked Indian food. Chemex have partnered the family owned business for a number of years supplying products for the Kitchen, front of house and Bars.

Owner Bharat mentioned “ Our restaurants and bars can be very demanding, especially The Vine on match day at The Hawthorns. We can serve up-to five hundred people via the Bar-B-Q and the Bar, and have found the Smokeclean and Glass Wash Premier products cope superbly well with tough jobs on a busy day. When we opened Suki’s restaurant we asked Chemex Black Country to set up our washrooms and establish our hygiene and cleaning systems for the restaurant and kitchen.
